- Feb 21 · Finally got some time to work with the SB-600 I got for Christmas. I can use it with my D200 and my SB-800 via Nikon's CLS system, which allows me three controlled light sources if I use the camera's on board flash. Even if this picture doesn't wow you, that's ok - I'm learning.

- Feb 19 · I'm always surprised how much light the moon throws off. At night, on a crisp night, you can run f/2.8 and 1/640 of a second at 50mm. I might as well be shooting in a well lit room.

- Feb 5 · Sometimes, living in the UAE was like living in a Stephen King novel - the mists and fog could be so enveloping that you really could see less than 20 feet in front of you. Additionally, when it was this foggy, people don't drive as much, so it's very quiet. Almost too quiet...

- Feb 1 · Went to a Dar Williams show at the Cat's Cradle the other night armed with a 50mm f/1.4 and a D200. I think I found the upper limit of what I can shoot with "available" light. Sadly, I can't remember the name of the other musicians that were playing - but they were really good. Next few days are pics from the show.
